‘the fragile heart’ is a multi-textile 3d dimensional soft sculpture based on an anatomical heart.

This piece originates from Bridget’s first collection ‘the pieces you left behind’ however now available in this hand-held size. Exploring tenderness and emotional fragility, the textile heart is hand-sewn using a variety of tactile textiles such as hand-knit, wet and needle felting, lino-printed silk and hand-tacking.

‘the fragile heart’ in this mini-size has been made for the owner to hold, use as a stress ball, tactile comfort or displayed as a mini installation in a space as a reminder of support and love when needed.

Due to the handmade nature of this piece, it may distort over time however Bridget offers life-time repairs at no-cost, so always feel free to reach out! Additionally, each piece is one of a kind with an edition number hand-stitched on the base.

A watercolour mini zine accompanies the heart, sent in an drawstring duster bag.
