'in darkness, you continue to find me' felt candleholder

Each piece has been entirely made from rust-dyed merino felt scraps leftover from Bridget's Honours 2023 project; 'fibre processing'. The handmade felt was rust-dyed by Lena Rowe (@anthropoceneaegis on Instagram) who is an incredibly talented bio-material artist and designer living in Naarm.

The hand-tacking scrunch of the felt is a technique developed to replicate the somatic feeling of what it can mean to hold traumatic experiences of sexual assault in the body.

Instructions of Use:
Do not leave unattended. Burn with caution. Due to the nature of the pieces, the candlestick wax may potentially drip onto the felt, adding to the sculptural element of the piece. If this is a concern, please feel free to get in contact with Bridget.

Each piece comes with hand-moulded and formed candlesticks made from 100% beeswax that has been sourced locally in Naarm, made in Bridget's home.
